Lucky has had some very happy news, a caring AARU volunteer has adopted him & he is settling-in really well!  Thank you to everyone who helped save Lucky’s life; Sheila, Barbara, the workmen, the Vets & of course his adopter for giving him a chance!  Happy New Year to all!
Super handsome Lucky  wouldn’t be alive today,  it were not for his rescuers and AARU!
Found close to death by workmen early one morning, it seems he may have been poisoned.   The upset workmen frantically tried to get him help and when they called  a large well known animal organisation, they were shocked to be refused help!………Then they contacted AARU, we didn’t refuse and
 that saved Lucky’s life!
Lucky, has emailed us a few words….

“Hello, I am a lovely tabby boy who is a bit nervous but can you blame me?   For a short time,  I was blind as a result of being poisoned and in alot of pain!  I’m better now and can see again after a nice Vet and AARU helped me and I have come out of my shell quite alot.  Don’t get me wrong, I”m not a lapcat (not yet anyway) and still get a bit nervous of new people until I get to know them, you’ll understand why though, won’t you?..  But I have made ever such alot of progress!  If I’m “lucky” enough to be adopted by someone who could offer me time, patience and love,  I know I will repay that in time.  I love to sleep on beds, adore lots of cuddles and tickles!  PS. I don’t mind sharing with another gentle puss and older children and I do really love my food!”

Around 2 to 3 years old, neutered, micro-chipped, litter-trained.  He has had flea and worming treatment. All our cats are “snap” blood-tested for Felv/FIV at the Vets and found to be negative unless CLEARLY stated. He is a truly lovely cat, please give him a chance.
