A lovely home is now waiting for Chloe to make her home. Every happiness
“I’m hoping somebody can help me find a new home for my mother’s cat, Chloe.
Despite being a much loved family pet, she is struggling to cope with life shared
with two dogs. She suffers from anxiety which causes her to pull clumps of her fur
out. Before we’ve managed this with vets visits, resulting in injections which calm
her down and normally last 3 months. After the last injection only settled her down
for a matter of weeks, we’ve had to accept that she’s just not happy living with us.
We’ve provided high shelving and plenty of hiding places, plus a whole room only
accessible via a cat flap to give her an escape from the canines. We’ve also fitted
a feliway diffusor but to no avail. Her hair loss has reached an extreme and she has
sore red patches on her skin.
It will break my heart to see her go, but it’s also breaking my heart to see her in
such distress. Aside from her anxiety, Chloe is a wonderful, beautiful pet.
She will be 6 years old in March and is a lovely grey and white (and normally a
beautiful thick coat). Obviously she can’t be homed with dogs, though isn’t too
keen on other cats either. She’d suit a quiet family, somewhere where she can be
doted on in peace. She is spayed, wormed, microchipped and up to date with her
vaccinations. We are based in the Newark, Nottinghamshire area. ”
