George aka Zorro has been adopted by a devoted couple who have already adopted AARU cat SPICE previously! He is very happily settling in.

Hola! My name is Zorro…but only a select few know my true identity..my real name is George! At night, when all the other cats and my fosterers are sleeping, I don my black eye mask and sneak out of the house to perform good deeds. I make my escape on my trusty steed and do good. But, please don’t tell anyone else who I am! Up until now only my brother Louie knew my true identity. Louie and I are so close: he’s my only brother and my biggest fan. We live with lots of other cats and get up to loads of mischief! We are quite young after all, so the bigger cats, aka, the “Pride”, understand that we’re not too serious in our antics. Wait a minute: my photo shows me wearing my Zorro mask! My secret identity has been blown!

If you do come to visit us, we may be a bit shy at first. I might just hide under a blanket or cupboard, peeking my little pink nose out, trying to ascertain if you are friend or foe (this comes from my alter-ego ‘Zorro” I’m afraid, but what would you expect?). Soon, with a few tempting treats, I’ll pop my head out to get a better look at you. Then I’ll tell you that I’m Zorro! No, I mean, George! If I’m caught wearing my Zorro mask I will deflect your interest (in order to protect my true identity) by presenting you with my tummy…as you tickle it I’ll try to remove my disguise. Actually, this is all too much trouble: I’m Zorro!!!

All cats will be home-checked prior to adoption. Kittens should initially be kept indoors until they are neutered at around 6 months.  Also they should have supervised and limited access at first outside and never be allowed to stay out at night, as they are vulnerable to many dangers.   Sorry but we  do not home on or near busy roads.

If you are interested in little GEORGE,  please contact us by telephoning 0115 9984307(please leave a message if no reply and we will get back to you as soon as possible) or e-mailing admin@aaru.org. uk.  Please include your postcode with your contact details.

Please note:  We are always in urgent need of new cat fosterers to help us foster the cats that AARU continue to help, if you would like to find out more information please email us.
