Hi I’m Jasper.

As you can see I only have three legs but I am very agile and if I say so myself, quite a handsome lad! I think I am about four years old.

I was run over a while ago and my owner didn’t take me to the vet – so by the time Animal Accident heard about me I was in a right state. I had gangrene as the wounds had not healed and as I had been thrown out by then, I had no shelter or food and thought my life was over.

But one of the AARU emergency drivers came to collect me and my life turned around dramatically. I was taken to their vet and kept in their care for a couple of weeks. I suppose I was quite difficult to look after, as I was terrified of being hurt again. When I lived at my original home, I was kept with one other cat Raine and two German Shepherd dogs in a tiny room and rarely fed. It was a difficult life. My wounds were healed after a while and I was placed with a fantastic fosterer who has taken such good care of me ever since.

I have no on-going medical problems now and I am understandably a little shy to start with but I’m starting to remember how to play again and to have a fuss; and a cuddle, which is bliss.

I get on well with other cats and dogs so would fit well into your home if you have other pets.

All I want is a chance to prove I can be the perfect pet and be shown love and affection – and I promise – I’ll love you back.

Jasper has been neutered, micro-chipped, litter-trained.  He has had flea and worming treatment. All our cats are “snap” blood-tested for Felv/FIV at the Vets and found to be negative unless CLEARLY stated.
