Lilly and her sister Milly are now in a sensitive and thoughtful new home.
Hi I’m Lilly, and I’m really finding this conversation difficult. It’s hard for me to talk as I was found in the wild, a few weeks after I was born. See, that’s the problem, if I don’t have human contact within the first few days of my birth, I just think: hey what are these strange beings???
You humans do strange things: provide me with food and a litter tray, leave some odd fake mice about for me to play with, try to hold me, etc. I mean, what’s that about? I am very very shy! I need to earn your trust before I play with your fake mouse. I am of course very smart, and know exactly what you’re up to. I know when you are trying to pick me up (no chance!), know when you are trying to take me to the vets (ha! Good luck with that!). We are actually very smart cats, us semi-feral lot.
However, what you don’t know, but will only find out upon adoption, it that once we get to know you, we are the sweetest, most loving, most caring cats out there! Take that ‘AARU Cats Looking For Homes’!!! Once you befriend a semi-feral cat like me, I belong to you, and more importantly, you belong to meeeeeee…meow!!!
All cats will be home-checked prior to adoption. Kittens should initially be kept indoors until they are neutered at around 6 months. Also they should have supervised and limited access at first outside and never be allowed to stay out at night, as they are vulnerable to many dangers. Sorry but we do not home on or near busy roads.
