Monty

Monty3 Monty2Good day to you, you fine people. Please let me introduce myself: my name is Monty and I am a refined gentleman. We (in the upper classes) don’t care too much about our looks. I, in particular, do not care about one’s appearance. I am approximately 8 years young, and most of my life has been quite privileged. Therefore, it pains one to be found living rough and harbouring a greasy coat. One does not wish to find one’s self in this predicament…however, my stately home was lost and I found myself alone and straying. This certainly does not befit a cat of my stature.

My stately manner is betrayed (of course) by my mature looks. I harbour grand dark side burns. This, most unfortunately I must say, makes me look like I have pattern baldness! Never, I say, never!

To be perfectly honest, one has had enough of the ‘upper’ side of life. I’ve discovered the joy of toy mice and belly rubs. Belly rubs you ask? Oh yes! These are to be particularly enjoyed (provided that one does not openly express such pleasure). One has discovered what fun the rest of you cats have. I’ve actually ditched my umbrella: a toy mouse is so much more entertaining.

The gentle lady, who has offered me shelter, has introduced me to the joys of being around humans again and I must say, I really look forward to her grandchildren dropping in. It is such fun to show her and the family what a friendly fellow I am.

Therefore, dearest reader, one would ask that you look beyond my ‘so-called’ male pattern baldness; see the gentleman within; and allow me to grace your home with my wise and knowledgeable insights.

Kindest regards

Sir Monty
