This beautiful girl has very sadly been returned to the Charity. Peppa was one of the 15 puppies rescued by Animal Accident Rescue Unit after being abandoned by a canal in November 2013.

Unfortunately, her current owner’s older dog has developed health issues that has seen them become unexpectedly very aggressive towards Peppa. This has meant her owners have had to take the heart breaking decision to return her.

Peppa is 3-years-old and very friendly. She is a mixed breed; possibly a small Whippet crossed with a Staffy.

She was raised in a loving family environment alongside young children, who she is very good with. Peppa loves playing with other dogs, both small and large, but was scared of the one cat she’s met!

She is very loving and energetic. Peppa is a bit boisterous and does jump up but is very trainable. She needs a family to love and play with her, who have plenty of time for exercise and will continue with her training.

If you live in the Nottingham area and think Peppa is the girl for you – please come and meet her!

If you are interested in Peppa, please contact our Dog Adoption Officer on 07857120774. This number must not  be used for any other type of enquiry or emergency contact.  Alternatively, you can email this volunteer at: You will receive a response as soon as possible.

The Charity is run entirely by volunteers and is always in urgent need of additional fosterers to foster the dogs that Animal Accident Rescue Unit rescues (particularly for male and large dogs). The Charity has no central base or office. Animals are fostered in individual  volunteers’ homes as pets, in and around the Nottingham area.

All potential adoptions will require a successful homecheck.
