The charity rescued 15 abandoned puppies in November 2013 after they had been left on the towpath alongside the canal in Sandiacre, Nottingham.  The puppies were all cross breeds and from five different litters, ranging in age from approximately seven to 11 weeks. We had 11 males and four females and they were placed immediately with our dog fosterers.

The response was overwhelming and we can only say a HUGE THANK YOU to every single one of you who contacted the charity with offers of help. We had in excess of 400 telephone calls, text messages and emails and for the following eight days our Dog Welfare team tried to collate this information and respond as quickly as possible to everyone.

We worked tirelessly to find the perfect new home for each adorable puppy and are pleased to announce that all the puppies have now been adopted by their own very special family – so their future is bright after their sad start in life.

We hear from all the owners that each one of the pups is doing well, is fit and healthy and growing quickly. It’s amazing what a bit of love and TLC can do!

We can only apologise that we might not have been able to get back to everyone who enquired.
